Gallup offers more than just TV viewership polls, in fact their one of the biggest polling companies out there for everything from politics to candy bars. They keep tabs on unemployment numbers too, and they tend to be a bit less political about it. They are more than willing to tell you how they're conducting the poll, what system they are using to generate that chart, and show the data. They don't spin it, they don't sugar coat it.

Nice to see our government taking the high road. What's next, arrested because you didn't cheer loudly enough?

I've mostly kept quiet about the situation in Egypt because there's too much going on that I just have no way of knowing about. Back channel communications, internal debates... but this and the comments by the outgoing president in his talk with Israel were too good to not post.

I could post some more, but if you look around you'll find plenty yourself.

I find it disgusting that a man who has repeatedly lied about his military service is now on the Senate military committee as well as the Judiciary committee. I would think that someone who's not just a liar but a BAD one who has betrayed our serving men and women by lying about his own service for political gain should not be placed in such a position of influence over the military and justice.

I can understand the Judiciary appointment, since he was the AG for CT for so long, he does have experience in the field. On the other hand he wasn't exactly a stellar success in the job except as a politician. Actual results were poor to middling but he was a strong counterweight to Jodi Rell and never messed up badly enough that he couldn't talk his way out of it.

The appointments don't surprise me, but they do annoy me and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Please keep in mind, this is NOT a recent video. It's over a year old. On the other hand, it seems to have only just now come to popular attention.
